Travel & Hospitality

AI plans the trip. Make sure it books you.

Travelers now plan the whole trip in ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, and Muse. Parsnipp gets your properties into those answers, puts LLM ads on the trips you can't win yet, and makes your rates and policies ready for AI agents to book you direct.

Where it happens now · one AI conversation

Plan a long weekend in Charleston for our anniversary. Walkable, quiet, great food.

Three hotels come up most for couples: Hotel A, Hotel B and Hotel C. All are in the historic district, a short walk from King Street.

We're bringing our small dog and want to stay under $400 a night.

Go with Hotel B. It takes dogs under 25 lb for a $75 stay fee, and rooms start at $329. Hotel A doesn't allow pets.

Book Friday to Sunday, a king room with a courtyard view.

Done. I booked directly with Hotel B, so breakfast is included.

Booking confirmed Hotel B · King, courtyard view · 2 nights · $658

Getting mentioned puts you on the shortlist. Getting the facts right wins the booking. Direct, at your rate.

What's at stake

Four questions every travel marketer should be asking AI.

01

Is AI sending your guests to an OTA instead of your booking engine?

How Parsnipp helps

See which answers link to Booking.com or Expedia, which link to you, and which pages they cite. Then make your own rates, rooms and policies readable enough that the direct link wins, and keep the commission.

02

Does AI quote your rates, fees and policies correctly?

How Parsnipp helps

An old resort fee, a pet policy you changed last year, a pool that's closed for renovation. Parsnipp checks what each engine says against your live site and shows the source behind every mismatch.

03

Which reviews, guides and threads is AI reading about you?

How Parsnipp helps

Travel answers lean on Tripadvisor, Reddit and travel press as much as brand sites. Parsnipp lists every source behind every answer, so PR and partnerships work goes where AI is actually looking.

04

Can travelers find every property, not just the flagship?

How Parsnipp helps

Travelers ask about places, not brands. Track each property against the hotels it competes with in its own market, so you know which destinations you win and which ones an independent down the street owns.

Why we built this

“I've spent most of my career building software for great hospitality brands like Kimpton, Marriott and Fairmont. As AI changes the way people plan trips, it will change the tools brands use to market to them.”

FAQs

Travel questions, answered.

How AI search changes booking, and what hotels and travel brands can do about it.

How does AI search change the way travelers book?

Travelers now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, and Muse to plan the whole trip: where to go, where to stay, what it costs and whether it allows dogs. The assistant answers with a short list of two or three places, not ten blue links, so a hotel that is not on that list is not considered at all.

Booking is moving into the same conversation. When the assistant links out, the traveler lands wherever it points, which is often an online travel agency rather than your booking engine.

Why does AI send travelers to an OTA instead of my booking engine?

AI engines cite the pages they can read and trust most. For many hotels those are OTA listings, which carry structured rates, room types, photos and thousands of reviews, while the brand site hides the same facts behind a booking widget.

Parsnipp shows which answers link to an OTA, which link to you, and which pages they cite. The fix is usually making your own pages readable: rates, room types, fees and policies in plain text, plus the third-party sources that mention your property directly.

What can I do when AI gets my rates, fees or policies wrong?

Find where the wrong fact comes from first. An outdated resort fee, pet policy or check-in time in an AI answer almost always traces back to a page the engine cited: an old blog post, a stale listing or a forum thread.

Parsnipp compares what each engine says about you with what your site says, and shows the source behind each mismatch. Then you fix it at the source: update your page, correct the listing, or publish a clear answer the engine can cite instead.

Which sources do AI engines lean on for travel recommendations?

It depends on the question and the engine, which is why it is worth measuring rather than guessing. Travel answers often cite review sites, Reddit threads, travel publications, OTA listings and destination guides alongside brand sites.

Parsnipp lists the sources behind every tracked answer, so you can see which publications and listings shape how AI describes your property, and where you are missing from the sources it trusts.

Can Parsnipp track every property in a portfolio?

Yes. You choose the prompts, competitors and markets Parsnipp tracks, so a hotel group can follow each property in its own destination, against the hotels it actually competes with there, as well as the brand as a whole.

That matters because travelers rarely ask about a hotel brand. They ask about a place: “a quiet hotel near the beach in Tulum”, “a family resort in Orlando with a water park”.

Should travel brands advertise in ChatGPT?

If your organic visibility is weak on high-value trip-planning prompts, paid placement is the fastest way into those conversations. ChatGPT Ads are available now, and they work best when they target the prompts and markets where you are not already being recommended.

Parsnipp runs LLM ads from the same data it uses for AEO / GEO, so spend goes to your visibility gaps, such as a shoulder season, a new property or a market an OTA dominates. See LLM Ads

Do you offer hands-on help, or just software?

Both, but we’re a software company first. Most customers run Parsnipp themselves. When you want extra hands, our forward deployed team covers digital marketing, brand and AI search marketing, sold as simple hourly resources with no contracts or retainers. See services
