Parsnipp Releases Content Recommendations to Help Improve AI Visibility
Today we’re releasing Content Recommendations, our newest functionality to support GEO Content functionality inside Parsnipp. Before I get to what it does, I want to be honest about how we think about content in GEO. Because we’re a little bit of two minds about it.
Introducing Content Recommendations.
Here’s what we built.
As Parsnipp evaluates AI visibility for your brand, we go through all of the citations contributing to the answers in those shopper-and-AI conversations. Your branded prompts. Your category-level prompts. Your competitor prompts. We analyze thousands of these interactions and figure out which citations are actually governing AI responses.
That gives us a pretty thorough schematic of how AI interprets your brand, and what data it is pulling from to answer brand-relevant prompts.
The useful part is what that reveals. We don’t just see what’s driving positive answers about you. We can clearly map where you’re falling short. Where competitors are getting recommended instead. Where you’re not breaking through at the category level. And which citations are governing the conversations where your brand and products simply aren’t showing up.
Content Recommendations takes that whole citation map and surfaces the biggest thematic gaps. The content areas where, if you actually published something, you would have the highest impact on your AI visibility.

GEO is broad. Content is one of the biggest pieces.
Generative engine optimization can be a very broad discussion. A lot of it rhymes with traditional search. There are so many different inputs that shape how an AI talks about your brand, your products, and your service, and how likely you are to be visible, to be recommended, and to persist through a conversation between a shopper and an AI.
Website architecture. On-page content. SEO hygiene. Link building. Ratings and reviews. Social. It all contributes. And it’s a moving target, because different models weigh each of these things differently. GEO is a new discipline and an evolving expertise, and anyone who tells you they have it fully figured out is guessing.
One of the biggest pieces of GEO, undoubtedly, is content marketing. This is where we’re of two minds.
The part we believe in, and the part we don’t.
On one hand, we want to help brands do everything they can to be visible. Content is a huge part of that. We’re in.
On the other hand, we don’t think GEO companies are the right organizations to become content marketing shops long term. And we think there’s a real risk of GEO turning into an AI slop strategy. That’s not how the internet should work. Agents creating endless derivative content to speak to other agents, bunny-hopping to get out in front of every permutation of a prompt with prefilled junk. It’s not good for the consumer. It’s not good for AI as a whole. And it should not be a long-term GEO strategy, even though we have absolutely seen it show up in early playbooks, especially in B2B.
So we asked ourselves a simpler question. What can we actually do to help, and where should our functionality sit?
What we do, and what we don’t.
We don’t create the content. We don’t upsell you to go write a pile of blogs.
We have partners who can do that work, and plenty of brands already have great content people in house. That’s the point. We don’t want to take an AI and crank out a bunch of derivative content to feed the slop machine. That work should be done by you in a more thoughtful way, or by partners who are genuinely experts at content marketing.
Where we want to specialize is the part nobody else is doing well. Telling you which topics will actually move your AI visibility, backed by the data and the citation map to prove it. You bring the craft. We’ll bring the targets.
That’s Content Recommendations. It’s live in Parsnipp now. If you’re already running an account, go take a look at your biggest gaps. I think a few of them will surprise you.
