How AI Answer Engine Works
A classic search engine gives you ten links and leaves the thinking to you. An answer engine reads the relevant pages, pulls them together, and writes a response, usually with a few sources attached. The answer comes first. The links, if you get them, come second.
Why AI Answer Engine Matters
The old question was "do I rank?" The new one is "am I one of the sources it quotes?" Those are not the same thing. A page can rank perfectly well in regular search and still never appear in an answer, because the engine never reached for it.
